unfamiliar hemisphere

This project is a series of scenes about a meandering trip I took through Peru and Ecuador, briefly into Colombia, in search of direction, inspiration, bugs, whatever really. I just needed to try something different, give somewhere beside Asia another shot.

In South America I felt even more out of my element than in Asia, despite it being geographically closer and knowing a little more of the language and culture. I feel there’s less cohesion to these images but that is akin to my experience there—most of the trip felt like a clumsy series of missteps and subsequent attempts to grasp on to something and right my mental state/regain some sort of trajectory.
